Bernadette has always had a great appreciation for art. She was inspired to start painting watercolors following her first visit to France in 1991. Her earliest exposure to live bonsai was at the Botanical Gardens in Montreal, Canada. She was intrigued by the artistry and by the time involved in their creation. She currently resides in Binghamton, in upstate New York. "As an artist, I want to translate to paper the essence of the subject. I hope others can feel, rather than view, my art."
